> Final week (part 1)

Righty! My final week, I worked PAC Sunday and Monday, Inno. Tuesday and Wednesday, off on Thursday and left on the Friday morning. So here's how it went.

Sunday: Nothing really out of the blue. 'Cept I adore the Disney Dreams Come True Parade. The music is so upbeat and kickass. Love it, love it, love it. I was doing parade with Damien, the princess of Main Street, so much fun was had by all. I was sorta pissed that I had to be in the Plaza area for all the parades, but when you have the fun team that we had that day, it was mostly ok. Parade meetings (which had, a week or two before been moved to MO-2, above package pickup/Main Street Gallery) were freakin' hilarious as usual as Rodney had us all cracking up with talk of snakes on a plane... And how much he loves us, etc. Love him more :D

Monday: Ooh, horrible day. Parades was fun, again, as it was myself, Virginie and Damien together (a riot o' fun). It was sad seeing the parades for the last time. But the guests were playing nice-and I was on crosswalk, so I didn't really mind. Nothing hugely out of the blue really happened till after we had finished 2-way. We watched the very end of the fireworks (there were tears & hugs) and then started saying goodbyes. While we were up to that, I was introduced to Dona-a fellow paddy from up north. That was fun. But yeah, it was mucho sad saying good bye to Damien, Virginie, and even Parker, one of the coordinator/manager people. I also sat down for a chat with Rodney just to thank him and such. Afterwards, we all went up to MO-4 because they had to get their evaluations. And, we all got copies of the CDS logoff screen (which says "Thankyou for making the magic" and has a pic of Mickey). Then, we got a picture of us all with Rodney and Bert, another manager-and that was taken to be developed. So, we got all our stuff together and headed home.

Tuesday: Again, a not so eventful day. I got my evaluation from Martha (I loves her). Probably went to Wendy's after work. Can't remember a whole lot. I was Illuminating that night. AND, I was captain! Unfortunately, I didn't get to be all captain-y because a little ol' lady came up to me and told me she was lost and couldn't find her group. So, we walked around for a while. Then, I took her to guest relations. By a chance of fate, I was working with Vanessa's "hot Japanese guy". She was mucho jealous when she heard... Anyhoo, there, we tried to ring her party in the park-but she didn't know the number. So we called her phone-which was back at the hotel with her husband. He was able to give us their numbers-but they weren't picking up. The poor woman was getting a bit flustered and worried. We told her that if worse came to worse, we'd put her in a taxi there (and kept trying to get through). Eventually, we did. Turns out, they had been on test track. So, we told them where we were and they said they'd come get us. The poor woman had all the time been saying "You won't leave me, will you?" and was so scared, sure God love 'er. So, while we were waiting, we had a chat about my program, Ireland, all sorts. Put her at ease, methinks. When we finally got them, she opened her purse and tried to give me a 20 (I think). But naturally, I couldn't take it. Mainly because it's all part of the job, and also kinda because if I had taken it, I'd have been termed. So, her family EVENTUALLY arrived (Jesus, they took their time... though, they were sozzled, so it's not surprising). They were all greatful and stuff, and the lady was saying things like "And guess what? He's IRISH! He'd have to be, wouldn't he?" She was so cute. So, anyhoo, it was now 9:20, I'd missed Illuminations and needed to go clock out. So I said my goodbyes (she gave me a big hug) and they said they were going to go leave a compliment about me at Guest Relations (sweet!). But yeah, it was kinda nice to make magic again properly before I had to leave.

And that's where we'll leave it for now-cos I have a lecture to go to... More soon.

Hi, Kevin! Miss you at Illuminations! Can you still do the "Tapestry" dance?
