> Newsy excerpts (with additions) from a letter to Mother

I've been working 8 hour days at Magic Kingdom with what are, quite
frankly, the dumbest guests ever to set foot on property. Each day has
consisted of getting up, going to work, coming home, going to wendys,
going to bed. Also, I finished training on Main Street PAC. Day 2, we did Backstage positions-which was cool. Saw the floats crossing the train tracks and what not-which was interesting to see. They have to be pulled up the hill by tractor thingy and then unhinged. And they have to be done in groups so that the trains can still run. Which was madness. Since then, I've done parade many times. Also done Wishes crowd control (hell) and Mickey Wave (heaven) where you stand on the train station with Mickey Gloves waving and shouting "good night" and "sweet dreams" and "we'll miss you" and all sorts... And also, we hold up signs (one word per person) saying "See Ya Real Soon!" which is just so freakin' cool. And the guests go crazy for it. Can't blame 'em. I love doing it!

I haven't been online.

I am not ignoring you.

All the computer systems at work crashed yesterday, so EVERYONE (and I
mean EVERYONE) was up the walls. I'm glad I was working MK though.
Would have been hell at Inno. Cast Deployment System, ticketing,
reservation, point of sale, food and beverage ordering, cast portal,
workbrain time recording - EVERYTHING was down. It was quite
interesting though... Magic Kingdom had a fairly normal day as far as
attractions go. At Epcot, most rides were down for the entire day. I
don't understand why they opened.

I spent four hours in the pool the other day. Got my shoulders burnt
to a crisp. They are now peeling. It's ick.

My roommate is a pig. No, in fact, he is a yeti. A very messy, very icky eating yeti.

Main Street Parade control is very difficult, I'll have you know! The
guests are freaking obnoxious. And we only hold the ropes when we're
clearing the street-as I was at the time. Also, there's a new day
parade since last week. I'm in love with it. It kicks ass.

Shopped till I dropped today. Spent over $200-got most of my Xmas
shopping done... Have everything done but yours, I think... Got dad [deleted]. Will also get him [deleted].
Got Orla [deleted]. Want to get her [deleted].

Also got some CDs, a frame for the picture I got of me at Discovery
Day, a Magic Kingdom license plate thingy, and a book.

Rode at the front of the monorail to Magic Kingdom and then to Epcot
today. Was very cool. I mean VERY cool!

Kinda ready to come home, I think. I'll miss the place, but I'm
starting to get a bit homesick and stuff, so I'm looking forward to
getting home. Can't wait for proper food. And Irish accents. And to see all the friend-type-people. Plus, been getting some interesting emails recently about the scouts, so can't wait to hear more about all that...

And I can't get the song from the parade out of my head. Curses.
