We got to health services and the woman told us that unless it was work related, they couldn't do anything. So, we headed to "Centra Care", this walk-in clinic thingy. They did some tests and stuff on Lou and came up with her having problems with her respiratory system and stomach. She's on antibiotics now, so she's feeling better (yay!).
Anyway, as it turned out, we were waiting for her for ages to see if she'd get out-so I ended up being about 15 minutes late for work. Nothing hugely devastating, but it now means that I have a total of 1 point on my record card-.5 points too many, to be honest, but anyway...
I got into work and, as I was walking along by Fantastic Plastics, I saw our Area Manager, Steve on his segway. I smiled (politely) at him to say hi, and he said "Oh, Kevin, I have something for you in the satellite (i.e. the coordinator's) office". I was a tad worried about what it could be, so, jokingly, I said "whatever it was, I didn't do it". He chuckled. Or at least, I think he did. I can never really tell.
Anyway, I was standing in the satellite office talking to the coordinator about him needing to adjust things so I could clock in, and Steve came in on his segway. Ed, the coordinator said "Steve, Kevin Casey has arrived" and Steve said (as he was getting off his segway) "So I see...". He picked up a sheet off the desk and started reading aloud. It was me, Ed, Paul (a presenter) and Shari (a host) standing in the office.
What he read was, word for word, spelling for spelling, as follows...
Dear Disney,
I would like to let you know about an incident that happen to on June 15, 2006 while visiting Epcot.
It was around 10:30 in the evening and we were walking near Innovations and happen to see the several characters inside and decided to get autographs in the mean time my 6 year old son was feeling very ill and my husband had to take him to the restroom inside Innovations while my 10 year old daughter and I went to get the autographs within a few minutes my husband came out an told us that my son got extremely sick to his stomach and had soiled all his clothes including his tennis shoes as my husband went to take care of my son I walked outside and asked the young man working by the name of Kevin Casey the fastest way to leave, I explained to him what had happen and he asked if I could wait a few minutes and I told him yes. This young man went and got a young lady by the name of Kelly [surname here], I explained to her what had happen to my son and that my husband was trying to wash his clothes in the restroom, she asked what size clothes my son wore and told me to wait, come to find out she had gone to Mouse Gear and got my son a t-shirt and a pair of shorts to wear back to our hotel, I offer to pay for the clothes but she said this is what we are here for. My family has been to Disney many times but this was my son's first trip and because of these two fine young individuals they made my sons trip one he will never forget, and now those are his favorite clothes. Thank you so much for the kindness you showed to my son and to my family it was an experience we will never forget, and to Kelly and Kevin a big THANK YOU, from our family.
We hope to vacation at Disney again soon.
Guest name, title etc.

Written on the bottom of the email was the following handwritten note. The "Erin" is Erin Wallace, the new Vice President for Operations at WDW. Also, from above, Kelly is an EMH manager at Character Connection. Brad Rex is the guy in charge of Epcot! Anyhoo, the note read...
Kevin, Kelly,
A big thank you from me as well. You made a great impression!
Erin
How cool is that! The autograph of the woman who runs the resort!!!
As well as all that coolness, I also got a VERY cool Disney pin that says "You're a Disney Star" and has Mickey and the castle thereon. It's freakin' cool!
So, the day looked up after that! The day itself wasn't bad at all. Did illuminations, was at The Great American Farm and Visa meet 'n' greet and everything (which was very out of the blue). Helped close plastics too, which was fun. Sad part of the day though, was that I've started taking pictures of me with the innoventions people so I can remember them. I have pictures with most of my trainers and everything-which is cool. I'm gonna miss them all lots.
Anyhoo, I'm sure I've more news, but it's late and I can't think of them, so you'll have to make do with the news from today... for now!
